The seasonally adjusted Irish Services Business Activity Index - - which is based on a single question asking respondents to report on the actual change in business activity at their companies compared to one month ago - - signalled a rebound in activity in January, rising back above 50.0 to 53.9, from 47.4 in December. The improvement in weather conditions after the snow and ice seen during December was partly behind the expansion, alongside renewed growth in new export orders.
