Irish services activity: The seasonally adjusted Business Activity Index - - which is based on a single question asking respondents to report on the actual change in business activity at their companies compared to one month ago - - fell below the no-change mark of 50.0 in September, posting 48.8 from 52.9 in August. This signalled the first reduction in business activity at Irish services companies since March as a slowdown in the wider Irish economy led to a drop in new business.
