Irish service business activity slightly rose for the first time in twenty-seven months in April

The seasonally adjusted Irish Service Business Activity Index - - which is based on a single question asking respondents to report on the actual change in business activity at their companies compared to one month ago  - - posted above the no change mark of 50.0 for the first time in twenty-seven months, rising to 51.0 in April from 49.6 in the previous month. While higher new business was the main factor driving activity growth, panellists reported that economic conditions remained fragile.
