Irish Service Activity contracted sharply in July while optimism fell to record low; Sixth month of uninterrupted activity decline

Irish Service Activity continued to contract in July, amid reports of falling new business volumes and worsening economic conditions. The current six-month period of uninterrupted activity decline is the longest in the eight-year survey history. The seasonally adjusted Business Activity Index fell to a survey low for the third month running and has been on a downward trend since the start of the year.
