Irish Revenue: 78 tax settlements totalling almost €15.6m were made in first quarter

Irish Revenue: 78 tax settlements totalling almost €15.6m were made in the first quarter of this year, according to the latest Revenue defaulters' list. The biggest settlement, totalling almost €1.5m in tax, interest and penalties, was in respect of  Sean Joyce, a discount store owner of Kilkenny, Breaffy, Castlebar, Co Mayo. This was for under-declaration of income tax and VAT. €493,304 was in respect of tax and penalties/interest amounted to €994,438.
