Irish retail sales volume increased by 2.0% in year to October 2010; Down 0.5% ex-car sales

The volume of Irish retail sales (i.e. excluding price effects) increased by 2.0% in October 2010 when compared with October 2009 and there was a monthly increase of 0.5%. If car sales are excluded, the volume of retail sales decreased by 0.5% in October 2010 when compared with October 2009, while there was a monthly increase of 0.1%.
