Irish retail Sales volume fell 9.9% in year to June; Dipped 13.9% in Q2 2009; Rose 2.2% in June

The volume of Irish retail sales (i.e. excluding price effects) decreased by 9.9% in June 2009 compared to June 2008. There was a monthly increase of 2.2%. If Motor Trades are excluded the volume of retail sales decreased by 5.5% in June 2009 compared to June 2008 and the monthly change was +2.0%. The quarterly fall was 13.9%, according to the CSO.
