Irish retail sales volume dropped by 0.5% in month of July; Ex-motor trade, sales rose 0.5%

The volume of Irish retail sales (i.e. excluding price effects) fell by 0.6% in July 2011 when compared with July 2010 and there was a monthly drop of 0.5%. If the motor trades is excluded, the volume of retail sales decreased by 2.3% in July 2011 when compared with July 2010, while there was a monthly increase of 0.5%.
