Irish retail Sales volume dipped 1.7% in year to March 2011; Up 0.1% in month

The volume of retail sales (i.e. excluding price effects) dipped by 1.7% in March 2011 when compared with March 2010 and there was a monthly increase of 0.1%. If Motor Trades are excluded, the volume of retail sales declined by 3.5% in March 2011 when compared with March 2010, while there was a monthly rise of 0.1%.
