Irish residents’ trips overseas fell by over 6% for the period August-October 2011; Total number of overseas trips to Ireland dropped slightly

In the period August to October 2011, the total number of Irish residents’ trips overseas fell by 6.3% to 1,795,900, an overall fall of 120,500 compared to the same period twelve months earlier. The CSO says that the total number of overseas trips to Ireland dropped slightly to 1,903,900 in the period August to October 2011 when compared with the same period in 2010.
