Irish Public Sector: Average weekly earnings up 3.6% in 2007; Employment up by 11,500 in year

The CSO reported today that average weekly earnings in the Irish Public Sector (excluding Health) rose by 3.6% in the year to December 2007. The index of average earnings, which excludes some effects of changes in employment composition, rose by 4.1% for the same period.
