Irish merchandise exports up sharply in 2010; Decrease in trade surplus in December

Seasonally adjusted Irish merchandise exports were up sharply in 2010 but the monthly level remained relatively unchanged while imports increased by 12% between November and December 2010, leading to a 10% decrease in the seasonally adjusted trade surplus to €3.74bn.
