The Irish manufacturing sector continued its strong start to the year in March as output and new orders rose sharply. Increased workloads led to an acceleration in the rate of employment growth to record the strongest increase since June 2000 . Meanwhile, inflationary pressures intensified further, with record rises in input costs and output prices registered during the month.
