Irish Live Register: Short term claimants increase by 34.3% in year to April 2008

Irish Live Register: The CSO said today that there was an increase of 37,462 (+34.3%) in short term claimants on the Live Register in the year to April 2008. This represented over ninety percent of the total increase on the Live Register over the year. Almost all (36,221) of this increase occurred between October 2007 and April 2008.
