Irish Live Register 2011: In January 2011 there were 442,677 people signing on the Live Register. The Central Statistics Office (CSO) said today that while the number of people on the Live Register did increase over the month the level of increase (+5,598) was less than the increase recorded in the month to January in the previous 3 years. As a result, on a seasonally adjusted basis there was a monthly decrease of 6,900 on the Live Register in January 2011. This follows a minor increase in December 2010 which had been the first month to record a seasonally adjusted increase since August 2010. The number of non-nationals dipped 2,868 to 78,527, in the month.
