Irish goods exports rose 11% in February when industrial production fell 2.3%

Seasonally adjusted Irish goods exports increased by 11% in February 2011 while imports rose by 3% leading to an increase of 33% in the seasonally adjusted trade surplus to €3,829m. On an unadjusted basis, the value of exports in February 2011 was up by 14% compared with February 2010 and the value of imports was up by 18%. Earlier in February, we reported that that industrial production fell 2.3% in February.
