Irish Exchequer returns for 2008 show tax shortfall of €8 billion and a total deficit of €12.7 billion

Irish Exchequer returns for 2008 issued today confirmed that there was a tax shortfall of more than €8 billion and a total deficit of €12.7 billion, as total spending was €351m above what was targeted.
