Irish Economy: A quick Google search reveals that the word “unemployment” got a massive 21,600 hits last week. This focus was, in turn, related to the ESRI Quarterly and the CSO April Live Register data, both of which were released during the week. The ESRI commentary included the highest forecast yet for unemployment - an average rate of 16.8% in 2010.
