Irish domestic travel up slightly in Q1 2010; Number of international trips taken by Irish residents fell by 7.5%

Domestic Travel: The Central Statistics Office (CSO) reported that Irish residents took 1,785,000 domestic trips in Q1 2010 which was slightly more than in the same period in 2009. Holiday trips were down slightly at 726,000 while trips spent visiting friends and relatives were up by almost 5% to 655,000.
