Irish consumer prices rose by 2.8% in the year to October

Irish consumer prices in October, as measured by the CPI --- the consumer price index of inflation --  increased by 0.3% in the month. This compares to no change recorded in October of last year. As a result, the annual rate of inflation increased to 2.8%, up from 2.6% in September 2011.
