Irish Consumer Prices rose 0.4% in August - - annual deflation at 5.9%

Irish Consumer Prices in August, as measured by the CPI, increased by 0.4% in the month. This compares to an increase of 0.5% recorded in August of last year. As a result, annual deflation is reflected in prices on average falling 5.9% in August compared with August 2008, according to the CSO.
