Irish Budget 2011: Today is Budget Day No. 1 in the series of two-days of statements to Dáil Éireann on plans for the public finances next year. Today,  Brendan Howlin TD, Minister of Public Expenditure and Reform will outline the public spending austerity plan with details of cuts valued at about €1.4bn due to be announced besides the €750m capital budget cuts already announced, which will bring the total to $2.2bn.
