Irish bank lending to customers continued to fall in April; Deposit outflow stopped; Bank borrowing from ECB at €78bn

The Central Bank reported today that Irish bank lending to consumers and businesses continued to fall in April. However, the outflow of deposits stopped and there was slight improvement after big dips in the previous months. European Central Bank (ECB) lending to domestic banks was at €78bn down from €83bn in March.
