Increase of 56.0% in new Irish private cars licensed in 2010

There were 647 new Irish private cars licensed in December 2010, compared with 474 in December 2009, an increase of 36.5%. The December figure for the total number of new Irish private cars licensed in 2010 brings the total 84,907. This compares to 54,432 new private cars licensed in 2009 - an increase of 56.0%.
