Last Friday's charge of fraud against investment bank Goldman Sachs related to the packaging of junk subprime mortgages in what is termed a synthetic collateralized debt obligation (CDOs) for onward sale to external investors, is a landmark development during the current financial crisis given the role that these Trojan Horse products played in the economic crash.
