Global economy shows signs of rising recession risks: Baltic Dry Index has tumbled 37% since May

The global economy showed increasing signs of fragility this week with the risk of the first recession since 2000/01 rising. In a signal of falling global trade, the Baltic Dry Index, a measure of demand for shipping services, has tumbled 37% since May.
