Global crisis will stall globalisation says Economist Intelligence Unit; Ireland slips 5 places in Business Environment Rankings - - Finland, Singapore, Canada in lead

The long-standing trend of improving global business environments-as a result of robust growth, liberalisation and infrastructure improvements-will be halted and even partially reversed in some areas over the next five years, according to a new report published on Wednesday, by the Economist Intelligence Unit, Globalisation stalled. In the Business Environment Rankings (BER), Ireland slipped 5 places while Finland, Singapore and Canada head the rankings.
