Germany's consumer price index measure of annual inflation rose to 3.0% in May 2008, the Federal Statistics Office - Destatis - said today. The year-on-year rate rebounded to the 3% threshold for the second time this year (last time in March: +3.1%). In April 2008, the year-on-year rate was 2.4%. Compared with April 2008, the index was up 0.6%.
