Germany downplays prospect of ‘definitive solution’ to Eurozone debt crisis at next Sunday’s summit

Angela Merkel, German chancellor, today signalled that measures will be agreed towards solving the Eurozone debt crisis at a summit next Sunday, Oct. 23, however she has made clear that the debt woes would not be finally resolved. Also on Monday, Wolfgang Schäuble said in a speech in Düsseldorf that there will be no 'definitive solution' next Sunday.
