German exports rose 0.7% in March; Down 15.8% in 12-month period

The German statistics office Destatis reported today, that exports from Germany fell by 15.8% in March from the same month a year earlier due to the global recession. Imports dropped by 11.6%. However, seasonally adjusted exports increased by 0.7% and imports by 0.8% on February 2009.
