France and Germany drove faster expansion of Eurozone services in July while offsetting muted growth in Spain and fall in Italy. At 55.8 in July, up from 55.5 in June, the Final Markit Eurozone Services Business Activity Index indicated expansion of the Eurozone services economy for the eleventh consecutive month. The final index came in below the flash estimate of 56.0 but was in line with the average seen during the second quarter, thereby suggesting no loss of momentum at the start of Q3 from the near three-year high rate of expansion seen in Q2.
