Federal Reserve lowers its outlook for US growth

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday lowered its outlook for US growth and signaled it expects higher inflation but it said longer-term inflation expectations have remained stable and measures of underlying inflation are still subdued. The Fed forecast a slightly lower unemployment rate for 2011.
