Eurozone unemployment rose to a record 16.2m in September; Inflation remained at 3% in October

The Eurozone (EA17) seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 10.2% in September 2011, compared with 10.1% in August. It was 10.1% in September 2010. The EU27 unemployment rate was 9.7% in September 2011, compared with 9.6% in August. It was 9.6% in September 2010. Meanwhile, Eurozone annual inflation is expected to be 3.0% in October 2011 according to a flash estimate issued by Eurostat, the EU statistics office, on Monday. It was also 3.0% in September.
