Eurozone services recovery boosted by near-record growth in Germany

Growth of business activity in the Eurozone services sector accelerated to a five-month high in January. At 55.9, up from 54.2 in December, the final Markit Eurozone Services Business Activity Index was above the earlier flash estimate of 55.2. The index signalled an expansion of services activity for the seventeenth successive month, boosted by near-record growth in Germany.
