Eurozone Services Business Activity Index fell in June for first time in five years

The final RBS/Markit Eurozone Services Business Activity Index fell from 50.6 in May to 49.1 in June, signalling a contraction of activity for the first time since June 2003. Although still only modest, the decline was larger than indicated by the flash reading for June of 49.5.
