Retail business conditions in the Eurozone improved in November, even after accounting for the usual impetus from pre-festive trading. The latest retail PMI (Purchasing Managers' Index) data from Markit signalled that sales rose on a monthly basis for the first time since July. The Eurozone Retail PMI - - which tracks monthly changes in the value of sales at retailers – moved above the no-change mark of 50.0 to 51.3, from 48.0. It was also greater than its long-run average of 48.9 in the latest period.
