Eurozone inflation jumps to 2.8% in April; Unemployment rate at 9.9% in March; Netherlands at 4.2%, Austria 4.3%, Ireland 14.7%

Eurozone annual inflation is expected to be 2.8% in April 2011 according to a flash estimate issued by Eurostat, the statistics office of the European Union. It was 2.7% in March. Meanwhile, the Eurozone (EA17) seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 9.9% in March 2011, unchanged compared with February. It was 10.1% in March 2010. The EU27 unemployment rate was 9.5% in March 2011, also unchanged compared with February. It was 9.7% in March 2010.  The Netherlands was the lowest at 4.2%, Austria was at 4.3% and Ireland was at 14.7%.
