Eurozone growth unexpectedly resilient says IMF as it revises its forecast for 2008; ; Says ECB benchmark rate should be kept on hold; Trichet says euro has been a remarkable success

Eurozone growth has proved unexpectedly resilient in spite of the slowing global economy, the IMF (International Monetary Fund) said on Monday and it revised its 2008 forecast higher. Also on Monday, European Central Bank President  Jean Claude Trichet said at an event to celebrate the tenth anniversary of monetary union, that the euro has been a remarkable success.
