Eurozone economy sees strongest growth for two-and-a-half years in March

The Eurozone economy is growing at its strongest rate for two-and-a-half years in March and the Markit Flash Eurozone Composite Output Index, based on around 85% of normal monthly survey replies, rose from 53.7 in February to 55.5 this month, indicating the largest increase in private sector output since August 2007 and the eighth consecutive month of growth. For the first quarter of 2010 as a whole, the average monthly expansion was the strongest since Q3 2007.
