Eurozone and EU27 GDP rose by 0.7% in first quarter; +2.2% and +2.4% on Q1 2007

Eurozone and EU GDP: GDP grew by 0.7% in both the Eurozone1 (EA15) and the EU271 during the first quarter of 2008, compared with the previous quarter, according to flash estimates published by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union.In the fourth quarter of 2007, growth rates were +0.4% in the Eurozone and +0.5% in the EU27.
