EU27-India trade more than doubled in 2000-2008 but fell in 2009

Following a more than doubling in value between 2000 and 2008, EU27 trade in goods with India fell in 2009. EU27 exports decreased from €31.6bn in 2008 to €27.6bn in 2009 and imports from €29.5bn to €25.3bn. The EU27 surplus in trade with India increased from €0.8bn in 2000 to €2.3bn in 2009.
