Dublin’s local authorities to cut 2011 budgets by 10%; Dublin Chamber of Commerce calls for 10% reduction in commercial rates

Dublin’s local authorities are preparing their 2011 budgets in the context of Central Government reducing financing by at least 10%, but businesses are saying they too can’t afford to pay for an inefficient system. Dublin Chamber of Commerce is calling for a similar level of reduction – 10% – in commercial rates for businesses, who are the biggest funders of Dublin’s local government.
