Cowen says the Government is considering all options on bank rescue plan; PWC report says banks adequately capitalised

Taoiseach Brian Cowen said today that the Government is considering all options to help secure the future of the Irish banking sector and downplayed reports of an imminent recapitalisation scheme. The PWC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) report on the Irish banks that was commissioned by the Financial Regulator, suggests that the banks were adequately capitalised as of September 30th.
