Chinese manufacturing production declines at fastest rate since March 2009

The Flash China Manufacturing PMI (Purchasing Managers' Index) is reported today at 48.9 (50.1 in June) - - a 28-month low and a contraction indicated by a fall below the no-change level of 50. The Flash China Manufacturing Output Index is at 47.2 (49.8 in June) - - also at the lowest since March 2009.
