Bank of Ireland sells €1 billion bond; Six Irish-owned guaranteed banks and building societies have raised €10 billion in the bond markets since October 2008

Bank of Ireland  announced on Thursday that it has raised a further €1 billion of term funding through a successful tap of its existing September 2010 Government Guaranteed fixed rate medium term note. The six Irish-owned guaranteed banks and building societies have now raised a total of €10 billion in the bond markets using the Government guarantee.
