Bank of England keeps benchmark rate at 0.5% - - the lowest in 315 years

The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) today voted to maintain the benchmark rate at 0.5% - - the lowest since 1694, when the bank was founded - - 315 years ago.
