Babcock & Brown loses almost 50% of its value in a week; BCM says Irish telco Eircom will not be impacted by turmoil in Sydney

Australian investment bank Babcock & Brown Ltd. faces a potential review by lenders after its market value plunged almost 50% this week. Its investment fund BCM - Babcock & Brown Capital - which has a controlling interest in Irish telco Eircom, said in Sydney today that Eircom's debt is not linked to the review and it is non-recourse to BCM.
