Monthly Irish manufacturing/ factory gate prices increased by 1.3% in May 2011. This compares to an increase of 1.1% recorded for May 2010. As a result, the annual percentage change showed a drop of 0.6% in May 2011, compared with a decline of 0.8% in April 2011. As Irish manufacturing is overwhelmingly dominated by US firms, monthly price changes usually follow changes in the rate of the euro versus the US dollar.
