Allied Irish Banks reports plunge in 2008 profit; Chief Executive says: “I regret some of the lending decisions we made”

Allied Irish Banks (AIB) today said 2008 profit fell 62% after it aside €1.8 billion to cover loan losses. The Chief Executive Eugene Sheehy said: "I regret some of the lending decisions we made."
